Got my new wheels today... I went with the black ZR1's (17x9 front and 17X11 with 315's)
I will have to roll the fender lip ( real scary) and beat the inner fender well a little (not too scary) and trim a little of the bump stop to fit everything nicely.
I will put them on tonight here at the dealership and hopefully get everything done right. I will take some pics of the results.
Wish me luck! hahahah Posted by 2002Z4CSS (Member # 1393) on :

Jeremy, please contact me via the website or e-mail about your wheels. I have a friend who has a red 2002 SS who is looking for some black wheels for his SS. I will show him the pic's of yours and see if he likes them. If he does, I will need to know where you got yours at so either he can order them or I can order them for him if they are a wholesale house and don't sell to individuals.

Congrats on the new wheels and tires!!!
I used that type of lip rolling tool on mine when I got my 315's. It worked great! I rented it from a guy here in Austin that runs an Audi tuning shop. He and his staff were drooling over the size of the SS's brakes, and the room for tires/wheels.

I just wish I had known about that tool when I installed the 17" x 11" ZR1's on my old '97 T/A. All I had to work with was a BFH to "massage" the inner wheel wells and the bump stops.

Looks great! Posted by fenton23 (Member # 878) on :
I just thought of something. If you wind up having to use the BFH on the inner fender wells just make sure that the rear seat is locked in it's upward position. It's possible to very easily knock the locking lugs out of alignment, and make it impossible to lock the seat back upright. It can be fixed, but it's not easy.
Yes......I found out the hard way.
