I know there are alot of puck heads here, so I figured I'd post this.

Mike Richter, long time Ranger goalie, gets his number raised to the rafters tonight at Madison Square Garden.

Only the third number the Rangers have retired in the club's long history.

Mike's career was cut short due to an injury last year.

As a long time suffering Ranger fan, he brought us the only Stanley Cup in my lifetime in 1994.

Plus he was the winning goalie when the US beat Canada for the Canada cup back in 96.

Thanks Mike!

Rangers [Confused] [Confused] [Confused]

Is that like a Maple Leaf with red stripes? [Razz] [Big Grin]

Thanks Mike. When he was in his prime he was a wall!

One of the toughest goalies to beat on a break-a-way. When he got hot, nearly impossible to beat period. Too bad the Rangers couldn't put a better team (chemistry, not paper wise) in front of him after they won the cup. He caused me a lot of misery! I'm a Devils fan and I wish the Rangers spent less money and were more competitive. Worthy number that belongs in the rafters.

Congrats to him - are the Rangers still playing? [Razz] Sens vs. the Leafs should be a
dandy tonight!

they get on the ice and skate around for a while, but I am not sure I'd call what they've been doing the last 6 years "playing"

they lost again last night. [Roll Eyes]
