can I come back in and play??

An awful lot has happened in the last 9 mths or so since I've been able to play on any F-body boards. I've really missed all of the wise cracking and info sharing though.

I haven't done much with my poor car in that time either. I've added a few things here and there (still have my Goetz SFC's to put on [Frown]

they were a Christmas present to myself [Big Grin]

) Though we did get the sway bar installed that was my birthday present & new centers for all of my seats were done in June.

I've been poking around trying to catch up on everyone and the board today and see lots of names I recognize from before. Hoping to get back into the swing of things.

car chix stick together so be careful, my aim is REALLY awful but it doesn't stop me from slinging anything in reach!!

I think we're going to try to do the SFC's after my class today. If we do I'll try to post pics.

I'm really anxious for f-body enthusiasts to see my new seats. I think they're very cool and they will be much cooler in the 116 degree weather with the top down!!

Millie,

Mel & I, ok mostly Mel, looked at the instructions and the underside of the car and he decided to see if we could find someone to install them for us. We don't have any jack stands and don't know what some of the parts discribed are well enough to feel comfortable trying this one. He was going to take it in Mon but decieded to wait until I could do it when I asked that he read the manual so he could make sure they are lifting her properly. That and take pictures for me. [Smile]

So looks like another week or so. [Frown]

DGoetz suggests that you install them with the suspension loaded....but not everybody has a drive-on lift. The guy that did mine put babyT on a regular lift, saying that he'd done quite a few like that and didn't encounter any problems. There was a slight issue with the right front holes not lining up just right, and he had to enlarge them a bit....other than that, no probs at all....oh, AND he tack-welded them in spots.

Although Don says they're simple to install (cuz he knows what he's doing!), I didn't want to take any chances.....and anyway, I enjoyed watching the guy work!
