I currently have a question in to J.R., in the Conference Room, regarding the ability to change the signature box to default unchecked.
In the meantime, if everyone can try to remember to uncheck your signature box for subsequent replies in the same post (myself included), it'll really help.
Leaving a signature on your first post in a thread (and in the Good Morning thread) is appropriate, but having to scroll through several responses with a repeated signature and picture makes those replies hard to read (and load).
Our dial-up viewers thank you.

That would make it a lot easier!!! Posted by HTWLSS (Member # 117) on :
If anyone knows how to change settings to make the signature box default to unchecked, I'd appreciate the info so I can pass it along. (I can't find it anywhere in the Admin settings.)

it will be in the template section. You will need to edit the php script for this. I could help since I have done this on my VBulletin forums. it shouldnt be much different..

Thanks! That's going to be J.R.'s department for sure.

Also, remember that you need to put the largest picture you have in your signature, plus a line-by-line listing of everything you've ever done with your F-Body. Please don't spare any details.

I like how j-body.org has their signatures setup....you are allowed a 200x500 space for whatever you want in your signature, but I dont think this message forum woudl be able to adapt that. But yeah, smaller sigs are a plus..just ahve to remember to uncheck mine all the time..I'M GUILTY! hahaha Posted by RagSS (Member # 1127) on :
Hmmm, ...now that you mention it I DO see that little box there. ...Will make use of it Posted by twobratSS (Member # 2180) on :

Remember, we also want to know how many times you've Zainoed your vehicle, and which Zaino products you use.

I don't care what's in a sig, as long as we only have to look at it once in a thread.

Millie........wow........I wish you would have supplied us with more information on your car. There are few items I question. For example, who is the manufacturer of your tires, the manufacturer of your cut-out and what kind of oil filter you use. When was your car last serviced and by whom?

LMAO!!! I would have listed that too, but the sigs are limited to 1000 characters!!
But since you asked so sweetly and are obviously DYING to know:
--Don't know the tire mfg. (KenC will get me for that...) --The cut-out is Flow-Tech --I use Mobil One oil filters --His oil was changed (using Mobil 1, of course) at 3K miles last September, the week before Bowling Green by Mike (aka Beenfetchdlately on LS1.com) at Lane's Performance in Irving, TX
I was waiting for just one response before I put my sig back into a sensible fashion!!
Sorry, all!! Posted by 02ZL1_97SS (Member # 2100) on :
Millie........you're too much. One thing I would highly suggest you add to your car and they are not terribly expensive is an oil filter magnet.
I use them on all my vehicles ('02 ZL1, '97 SS, '02 GMC Envoy & '97 Dodge Dakota 4x4).
We know they work because we have cut open the oil filters and see all the metal particles trapped to the side of the filter can where the magnet was attached.
The shop I own is a distributor for them but you can order them direct from the company.
I completely forgot: we also want to know what brand of fluids you use in your vehicle.
And......you can also list every past and present vehicle that you've owned.

Looks like the red one if a heavy duty one used for racing and larger vehicles.

Geezz Ed..........that is the technical answer.
For Texas Tart we have to give her the non-technical answer, which is . . . . . . the difference is the color!
Posted by 02ZL1_97SS (Member # 2100) on :
You guys are exactly correct. The red one is a heavy duty application filter magnet and is obviously more expensive.
Believe me, the black one is all you would need on a Camaro or Firebird and the magnetic force they exert is awesome.
The '98 thru '02 Camaros take the SS-300 and the '97 and back should all take the SS-365. I believe the SS-300 sells from the company for $47.95 plus $8.95 shipping and the SS-365 sells for $49.95 plus $8.95 shipping. Now don't hold me to these prices guys and gals. Check the web site to be sure.
We have cut open my Mobil 1 filters many times and see all the metal particles trapped to the side of the can where the oil filter magnet was attached.
I am sold on them. All of my vehicles have one on them.
