on a 99 SS, with the only SLP performance mod of exhaust, what is the stated base HP? If I remember right, the base SS with no perf mods was 320. I cant find my breakdown.. Anyone?

If I remember correctly, the 2000's were rated at 330 and the 99's were 327 with the SLP exhaust.

There's gonna be some confusion on this one! [Confused] The '98s and a lot of '99s were rated at 327 HP with the SLP dual-dual. Towards the end of the 99 production, SLP received the go-ahead to bump the rating to 330 HP models equipped with this exhaust, based on continuing dyno testing. I was with the June '99 trip that the Toronto F-body Motorsports club made to Ste. Therese and the SLP facility. It was during our visit to SLP that Umberto Bonfa, then SLP's sales mgr. for Canada, informed us of the recent bump from 327 to 330 HP. JeffY, can you verify that my memory is still functioning properly on this one? [Wink]
So some '99s would have been rated at 327 HP while others received the 330 HP rating. Bottom line was that there were no changes during production of the '99 model that bumped the HP ratings mid-year. It was just a matter of the powers that be upping the rating ('cuz they could!) [Big Grin]

And in 2001 with the different intake and different cam they bumped it to 335 with the duel-duel exaust [Wink]
