DuPont Performance Coatings (DPC) recently introduced Hot Hues™, a complete system of custom finishing products that help to transform vehicles into unique works of art. The system includes special two- and three-stage basecoat colors, easy-to-use clearcoats that provide outstanding appearance, and undercoats that make vehicle preparation easy and thorough. “The Hot Hues brand offers a unique palette of premium colors, specially chosen and developed for the custom car, truck and tuner/sport compact market. Hot Hues products will deliver the hottest, most vivid colors and special effect finishes,” said Dennis Silva, DPC custom finishes segment manager. Hot Hues™ products will be introduced in phases, beginning this month with 25 factory-packaged special pigment colors and 70 additional colors that can be mixed using special Hot Binders and Balancers. In April, DPC will introduce Hot Hues ChromaLusion® special effect colors, two urethane clears, a high-speed clear and a fast clear. This will be followed in early June with specific custom designed primers and sealers. Hot Hues™ will be on display at various hot rod and custom car shows throughout North America during 2004.
