Got a $13 and change check in the mail yesterday for the class-action settlement thing with the high price of CDs from the record companies.
Totally forgot about it, but it was something FireChicken had posted on the old defunct SLP board. Got my name on the list with minutes to spare before the deadline, and because of that, I now have enough to buy a new CD. Basically, if you had purchased at least one CD within a certain time frame, you were eligible to participate.
Anyone else get a check?
Now I feel sorta bad for downloading all those songs... ...just kidding!!

Im glad SOMEBODY I know actually got to take their piece of the record label. I thought about signing up, but unfortunately, the amount of reward per plaintiff is dependent inversely on the number of plaintiffs (more people, less money per person), and NOT on how many cds you had purchased and been ripped off in buying. of course, I prefer to think of this as a little private war, and I think I already one. Bwahahahahahha!!!

Haha. Sounds like the type who won't buy a lottery ticket because the jackpot was "only" 14 million......
It took me all of about 5 minutes to sign up online, and for the 13 bucks, it would equate to a rate of over 150 dollars per hour after taxes. Definitely worth my time.
