All bloodwork was negative. Nothing seen on my CAT Scan, so no cancer in my liver.

I'm relived, but, they still don't know what's causing the results they see when do bloodwork on my liver. So have to keep laying off the sauce and be good.

Thanks to everyone who's praying for me (HTWLSS, cytruffle, etc). Keep those tires crossed.

I just got a call from MY Dr. today wanting me to come in for another blood screening.. say I have slighly elevated levels from my Liver..

Asked if i drink.. (I dont much at all for the last 10 years or more)..

Is that sorta what your deal was?

Oh, what DR. calls you up on Friday (late in the day) and leaves you to wonder about this all weekend??

Wow. Pretty close. My thyroid was slightly swollen. So they ordered blood tests. That is when they noticed the liver levels were elevated. Asked me how much I drink, I told her 30 beers ba week. She said cut it in half and test again. I did more then cut it in half and my levels skyrocketed. I completely stopped drinking and they did not go down. I am going to see a specialist on Monday.

Sorry to hear they dont know the source of problems, but sure sounds better to rule out the cancer.

Actually, it's not surprising that you liver enzyme levels when up after you stopped....it's sort of the liver reaction to being free of toxin (alcohol). They will slowly go down.

That said, you definitely need a work up for everything else. Glad that CT was negative. I'm sure they did a hepatitis panel, and now are looking for random esoteric sources. Also, I don't know how old you are, but you definitely should have some sort of colon cancer screening, best would be a colonoscopy. That would be another thing high on the differential here.

It definitely sucks that they don't know what's going on, but it's good that they are checking all of the "badness." So, it's actually good that they are not finding things.

Thanks guys.

Update: Went to they gastrologist yesterday. Another battery of blood tests and a MRI have been ordered. I have quit drinking and my tests are not getting better. I was negative for Hepititas and they don't feel it's cancer, so they have very specific things to test for now.
