May be old news to some of the die-hard model collectors, but although I've seen the 1:32 scale Testor's '97 Camaro with the SS hood, it never said it was an SS. However, this particular item piqued my interest so I bought it last night at the mall. I've personally never seen an actual 1:32 30th anniv SS that was labeled as such, but here's proof one exists, even though the spoiler seems to be a non-SS spoiler. The other cars included is a BMW Z3 and what appears to be a new Shelby Cobra. I saw another edition that had a red Firebird, around a 96 or 97 with what appeared to be a ram air hood and dual duals on it, but I couldn't find any Firehawk labels anywhere on it.

Also, picked up a 1:64 blue 71 Z28 Matchbox Barrett-Jackson edition collector car and the last NBM 1:18 Welly Camaro SS they had in the store.

Anyway, I thought I'd share the Camaro moment.

I have that 30th Anniversary diecast and the 1969 Pace Car diecast. That companies quality sure is aweful. The door gaps are huge and the car is out of proportion. [Smile]

Well, maybe in the late 70's and early 80's. Have you looked at the early 60's GM cars with their real small door gaps? [Smile]

Just a FYI, but Matchbox has another 1998 Camaro SS repaint. It's in a 5 pack and is painted up with the Tazmanian Devil all over it.

Seen a Spongebob (Sandy Squirrel) version in a matchbox 5 pack last night at Wally World. Looked to be a 4th gen Camaro convertible, but another version had a 69 SS 'vert.
