As much as I've been down on the NHRA lately, this is a giant step for them ............ I'm very proud of both CSK and the NHRA Posted by CamaroSCG (Member # 1591) on :
It's a big step in the right direction. Even if it only saves a few from a street racing disaster, it will be worth it. Hopefully it will make an positive impression on many young drivers.

Now all they need to do is build more "Local" tracks....But thats another story, in all, I think it's a very good Idea, and glad to see CSK is involed in it...I used to work for them, many years ago. Just glad someone is doing something....

I applaud the effort but the trouble is people would rather not put up with the noise from a race track than have their kids alive , and most strips get voted down in city council's nation wide
In short you can educate them till they are spouting it as a religion, as long as the nearest track is well out of reach (the norm), education will not help quell the need to try and race their cars, given the chance, and the proposed track being voted down (all the damned time ) there is little else people who like racing can do (besides not doing it on the street .. like that will completely ever come to pass)
Education is great, and it will save many lives
but as much as youth and others need education about street racing... they need a safe, close, controlled location to do it , just as much
