Does anybody here use any kind of octane booster for street driving? I'm curious because I live in the desert where summer temps are over 100 degrees. With the crappy 91 octane fuel we have here in California I was just wondering if it would be beneficial to use some kind of booster.

Yep I only use it once or twice a year (car only gets driven about 2K a year) seems to help low end seems to pull a little harder We live about 40 miles from Lancaster in Hesperia

bad news..... most are alcohol based, which is bad for any rubber component in the fuel system.
just get you some unleaded race gas

Most all gas in Ca contains ethanol anyway (smog )

Thanks for the link...but I have a n00b question...how do you get that 100 octane gas? I've been to at least 6 locations on this list and haven't seen any pump that has that. Do I have to ask somebody? How does this work?

That list is the list of all 76 stations in CA, not just of the ones that offer 100 octane. You have to click on the link to each station to see what gas they carry.

You can also get "Race Gas" in 55gal. drums. Check with the guys at your local track or speed shop.
