My new Piano arrived last week! I am so absolutly jazzed up by it and about it I thought I would share a little. I have waited 12 years to upgrade my "starter grand". This one is a lifetime instrument. A little silly but I'm sure we have some music lovers out there!
Enjoy that piano! My brother inlaw has one and taught himself how to play without knowing how to read music. It sounds real nice around the Holidays when most of the family is over. Posted by 01ss87iroc (Member # 1763) on :

Thanks everyone! I have been playing for about 38 years. It gives me a great deal of personal satisfaction. Used to play in bands when I was younger (I think, it's a little hazy ) . I just play for the the pure joy of it now.
I saw CY a little earlier but couldn't respond due to ID/PW. I've played most styles of music through different phases (orginally classically trained). I would say most of what I play today is kind-of a Jazz/NewAge/Rock/Pop fusion. Still love Classical and Rag.
Dan, go try a Boston, I think you would be pleasantly suprised! Major difference - Where it's made and the number of laminates used on the outer rim. Still has the beveled soundboard and everthing else Steinway. Man can it sing!
Sorry for the long reply, it's a bad addiction just like the Fbods!
