Well, the body shop told me that more than likely my Explorer will be considered totaled. [Frown] [Mad] But, this dark cloud has a silver lining. I test drove the Avalanche today and I really liked it. My only question, is how do I get a GM discount? I am not a GM employee (Although if someone works at GM and knows of any IT related jobs that are open, I would love to apply) but I want to know if there is a special program for friends and family. Which brings me to my next question, if they do have a F&F discount, would anyone like to be my friend? [Big Grin] My test drive was great! I only drove it around a parking lot because I didn't want to wreck 2 cars in one week (my neck is still sore and I can't total turn my head without a small amount of pain). I really liked it, but man, it is a HUGE car... err truck.

Glad to hear you liked the Avalanche....and that you're getting a GM in the Driveway Coupon.

For those who haven't driven one, ....go try one sometime....much quieter and better riding than any pickup (due to the fact that it is actually a Suburban)

The boys in the office here concur ...however, they're butt ugly, especially with the cladding, and are parked right outside my window. [Mad]

BTW word is they really like their petrol. [Eek!]

You can around here, but it seems only 1 in 100 on the lots are that way ..so the odds of getting the color and equipment mix you want are slim to none ...and ordering [Mad] ask me about it in Bowling Green.

I heard soemthing about the 'father' and an on ramp quite a while ago.... lol

Yes, you can get them without the plastic cladding...Looks like you'd have to order it that way...Looks SOO much nicer withought the cheap plastic!

Cladding [Frown]

Now if they'd just make them without the plastic
stuff around the bed, but with a removable fiberglass
shell instead. Then if they'd just leave out the
rear doors and shorten up the wheelbase, they
might actually have something [Cool] .

They make one... its called the new 1/2 ton crew cab...

Until you drive a Avalanch or EXT you'll realize how nice they are... they are my favorite ride... I almost cried when I had to turn the EXT in for a 1/2 ton pickup.

Yes you want option code WBH (which means without body hardware). A lot of dealers in the DC metro area are ordering them with the WBH option.

The versatility of this vehicle is amazing. When I was selling cars, my manager loved my walk around presentation. It worked too. I sold one to Shag Fingers and he loves it, I also sold an Avalanche to his friend and he loves his too.
