The car seems to get alot more attention . I only drove it for two short errand runs and to meet my former boss for lunch this weekend. In that short little 16 mile round trip and another 22 mile round trip I had more ricers trying to race. Also had a couple old muscle cars doing the same. Was rather funny.....i was minding my own business too and just stealthily riding upon them. Of course I pay not attention...and I dont gun it or anything like that.
Just so you know I usually dont race people.....and if I do I dont go over 60-80..and its never on a crowded/busy/residential road.
My darn SES light is still on though Posted by 2002Z4CSS (Member # 1393) on :
Your Service Engine Soon light may be on from a O2 sensor problem if it happened after the headers were installed.

yeah we have thought that but also my SES light has come on a dozen times in the last year and then just goes out. Craig hooked up his laptop to it and we did a test run. Everything showed up fine. I think it just likes to come on periodically just for the heck of it Posted by Cavy Dan (Member # 1352) on :

Yea - minding your own business. Like your car blends in! No custom sounds, or looks. You just blend in with traffic. Posted by cytruffle (Member # 1733) on :

You may have an exhaust leak causing the SES to come on. A member on our local club had this, he found the leak, no more light.. Posted by CAMSS (Member # 1388) on :

Michelle, if the light is still on, I'll be happy to bring my laptop to our next gathering (Chick-Fil-A, BK, lunch???) and see what's up. Just lemme know.

Yes, most likely O2 senser. I just had another one replaced under warranty even with the SLP LTs on. From what I understand they'll fail to reach temp in the specified time and throw the code. After 3 (I think) complete thermal cycles without the problem the llight will clear. I'm going to get the Preditor programmer and program them out when I do my tuning.
