At all the dealers I cover they have hit the ground and were burning gas in a short time.... but then again many of the guys have only gotten one so far.... They are still having shipping issues... (west coast cars ending up in Kansas City... before re-shipping west)

There are several in showrooms near me. And I don't get it. Now that I have seen them up close and personal, I think they are much too understated and european. Not my taste.

Our local dealership here in Dallas, Ga. has been stuck with a yellow one now for about four weeks. Can't seem to get any takers here in Camaro/Firebird land! KICKBACKSS DALLAS, GA

Here in Mid-Michigan, a really old old old, crappy Pontiac dealer has had a black one and a silver one. Today after two months it looks like the black one finally sold.
I was shocked to see them sit there so long. Though down the street the Chevy dealer has 3 SSR's and 4 Corvette's. One of the Corvettes was used in collge's International Outdoor Auto Show in October. LOL! Go C5 go!

My local Pontiac dealer has one silver one. They don't even put in the showroom. I'm sure it would be fun to drive. Not too sure about the look though. Should be a little tougher looking to live up to the name GTO.

Hmmmmmmmmm if the GTO's aren't selling so well I wonder if this will give GM an enticement to finally acknowledge that dropping the F-Body was a good idea? Posted by blkragss02 (Member # 1801) on :

They are selling well in some areas... they are purposly keeping the volume down as not to have an over supply. If one has been siting a while look at how much its been marked up.... as an example I've seen some SSR's and XLR's with a 10 grand markup... and they will be sitting around for a while at that price. At the dealers who want to deal they are seloing just fine....

I'm near Grand Rapids MI and have only seen 2 on the road so far and it might have only been one as both were black. The dealer lots have them just sitting and I'm not seeing them disappear very fast. I had thought about trading my SS for a blue 6 speed GTO but after sitting in one and it didn't have a dead pedal and no sunroof option I just couldn't like it enough to justify getting rid of the SS. SSR's aren't flying out the doors around here either. Berger says they're sold out on their allocation through most of this year. I'm suprised since other dealers have them sitting and can't seem to sell them even at sticker.
