I ordered a Ram Jet fuel injection for the truck that I've built (okay, helped a little here and there on) from Street & Performance in Mena, AR. It runs, but when it's idling, it surges as though it needs gas. Also, when I get to a stop sign or pull in the driveway, it dies. Sometimes it also cuts out for a brief second when I press on the gas.
When I'm running down the road, it runs fine (although it's running 2900 rpms @ 70 mph). Is there something in the computer that needs to be reprogrammed? I verified that the chip was correct with S&P, and now the only thing left I know to do is to take it to Arkansas because no one around East Texas knows how to work on this problem. Not even "Tyler Fuel Injection" (which I thought was sad ).
By the way, it is a 350 with Vortec heads and a hotcam.
