It was 2 years ago today on a warm spring Thursday night that it happened. I heard the Lifeline Helicopter as I was in the garage cleaning the SS after I had taken a vacation day at work. Shane L. Michaels Was killed when an elderly lady didn’t see him and pulled out in from of him as he went down the highway on his Yamaha R1. I just doesn’t seem like it could have been 2 years…. As I do almost ever Easter morning I go out to the garage and clean and shine the (his) SS to get ready for Church. But today it all seemed different.. It meant a lot more today. I will drive the Car today as a Tribute to him, The sun is shining, the air is cool. And I know that I am not the only one thinking about him.

As you go out today in you best clothes and your freshly waxed, Vette, Camaro, Mustang, a bike (yes he had at least one of all of them) or what ever automobile your in love with, Know the he is watching you to, On this anniversary it is a day to remember him, maybe when you turn that key today you will…

This is a Pic of the Current Daily driver when he was killed, He also had a 96 collectors Edition Corvette, and the SS before that.. I could go on and on...

I didn't know Shane as I wasn't a member of this family at the time but I can tell you tell were very close and I am offering my complete respect and condolences to his family, you and his friends on this day of remembrance.

Peace and Brotherly Love.

Ok what a great day to have the car out, I was sunny and about 50 degrees. I drove the SS To church and to about 3 family functions. Next we went for a drive up to the cemetery, You could tell that a ton of people had been there today. Nice to see that I wasn’t the only one thinking about him …

This is a pic from last summer but it looked like it did outside today..

I know how you feel today and as time goes on it will get better even though you will never forget him. Many years ago I had a best friend that lived next door and we spent all our time working on cars and motors together and one day he got the car of his dreams a full package 71 Boss Mustang with white leather one of 200 built and then died in his sleep the day before moving into his new house. I bought that car from his wife and kept it restored like new for 19 years and finally let a collector have it to go with his other 5 not to be drove. We are with you and his family today
