I don't....never have......maybe it does save gas or something ( ), but I like the feel of the car and the acceleration or whatever.....

I use it whenever I can! I find it extremely helpful on long trips (i.e. to Bowling Green)and even on shorter highway jaunts - as long as traffic conditions permit. I have no doubt that it helps to maximize fuel economy. I'm also convinced that using it maximizes the amount of time I can stay behind the wheel on a trip as it allows me to get "into a groove" which reduces the amount of stress. Maybe it's the fact that I set the cruise to just slightly below the pace of traffic and stay in the right lane. I know that all things being equal, I can spend more time behind the wheel under these conditions due to reduced stress. Interestingly enough, my wife has never used it and says she can't even think of a circumstance where she'd even want to. But then again, she rarely drives on the highway!

I use it on drives more than 10 miles continous. Traffic or Street driving I do not. You can still feel the car, but you do not have to push. I just rest my foot on the pedal and relax......well as relaxed as someone driving on southern california freeways can be. It does save me about 2 miles a gallon when I go long distances, and that is about 300 miles plus. I can hit San Fransico in one tank, and that is 425 miles away.

I use it on the interstate all the time. Without it I would have way too many tickets. Without cruise my speed seems to slowly climb on long trips on the interstate. Look down at the speedometer and I'm doing 75 mph, look at it 15 minutes later and I'm doing 85 mph without realizing that I've increase it any. With cruise, just set it for the speed I want and it stays there.

Just about anytime I'm on a freeway or interstate (non-rush hour) and, believe it or not, in Grosse Pointe....we have 25 and 30mph speed limits and the police have very low tolerance for speeders....thus, I just set it at 25 or 30....

So YOU'RE the guy on the highway doing 25-30.....
Speed prevention is the main reason I use mine on the highway, but only if it's dry and clear. I can't tell you how many times I've "drifted" over 80 mph when driving without cruise control. Any rain, of course, and cruise control is a no-no for me.

I used to use it a lot when I lived on the prairies. Since I have moved east, I have nit used it once. I find there is too much traffic to use it. Even on the trips to BG I do not use it since, I usually wind up near the end of the convoys and due to the elastic effect of minor speed changes in the convoy in front of me, it means my speed is constantly changing in order to keep the convoy together.
BTW, I have gotten better gas mileage without crusie control when I did use it our west. Cruise control is a constant speed device, and on hills throttle is added to keep the speed the same. What I used to do is let my speed slow a bit by using LESS throttle and then let the hill on the other side speed me back up. So by leeting my speed vary, by using less throttle I used less gas.
As a means to avoid speeding tickets, a work acquaintance got cruise control as he was getting too many speeding tickets for the reasons noted above. Funny, he STILL got speeding tickets.....he would set the cruise control at above speed limit levels and get caught anyway.

Yes, I definitely use it. Mostly for speed control on a road trip or an area that's patrolled heavily.
It's especially useful on a trip across the flat states, like Kansas, because you can take a 3 hour nap.
(You know I'm kidding about the nap part!)

I use it when I'm driving for a distance on the highway. Why the heck not?
I think some people should use it more. There's nothing I hate more than coming up on a person, maintaining a consistant speed, and having them hang around you slowing and speeding up.

I'll definitely use it when I can maintain a steady speed. It's really nice to be able to shift my feet around when one position becomes a little uncomfortable.

Yep, use it all the time on the highway. Only thing about cruise control that ticks me off is those people who don't realize the accelerator still works when cruise is engaged. Ever come up behind someone who is cruising 1/2 mile an hour faster than the car they are passing, but refuse to move out of your way?!!! Arghhhh!

Mine doesn't like to set until almost 30mph. I've tried to use in the 25 zones for minimized face time with local law enforcement, but it's touchy at slow speeds.

I use it whenever safe to do so - mostly on longer trips travelling limited access highways. I think it helps me avoid the temptation to speed. Never bothered to figure out whether it improves mileage.
