The picture of the day ............. there were some real characters in the early days of drag racing .............. and one of those individuals accused of "not playing with a full deck" was the famous (or infamous) Al VanderWoude ................ his "Flying Dutchman" Dodges ran the scale from conventional (shown below) to just plain bizarre (I'll see if I can find some pictures)
found some of VanderWoude's "wierd" stuff
and this bizarre piece (which really couldn't get out of its own way)

Yup. My nephews had one. We have video of one of them giving operating instructions whtile wearing a funny hat and using a "Leabeau" from Hogan's Heroes accent.
