Wife and I have had an understanding for years. She is not my mother but we go out for dinner NO PRESENTS (stuck at the In laws this year) !!!!Now that Alec is making his own money (12 yrs. old) he has to buy his own presents.(he is getting mom a reading light for bed/OH SHUT UP)).
Just wanted to mention that if you dont go All out make sure the little ones DO Remember Mom ,Even if its a hand drawn card .

I got my mom the new cam. Just kidding.
Picked up the card today when I was grocery shopping. My mom collects Boyd's Bears and she has a particular one she is looking for, so I'll pick that up this week yet.

...our four kitties send their "Mom" a Mother's day card every year with $50 of mad money in it...they are very generous when it comes to their Mommy...
