I am looking for a 97 SS hood, Red with about 25% damage for a "project" I am working on. I call them,The guy on the phone says "We dont have any SS or ram Air hoods any more, Some guy came in a few weeks back and made an offer to buy them all" And he took them...

WTF! I bet he is trying to fix them and selling them on ebay or somthin.. why would you need all the darn hoods!!

If I would have needed a spoiler last week when the brake light caught fire, I might be a little hard pressed to find one of those, too [Frown]

That might be valuable in the future.

Don't think they're making more. Thanks.

Yup I agree with MM. You can now buy 96-97 SS hoods through GM.

Remember, the '96/97 hoods and spoilers were different than the '98+. Bill is looking for a '97 hood.

I think the 96-97 hoods are only availiable through SLP and they need a vin and they will add a core charge.

I wrecked my SS a few years back and I needed a new hood. they had to ship SLP the broken hood to get back the $1,500 core charge.

I know this doesn't help Bill but I have a '02 SS/LE hood with VERY minor damage. The new hood was about $1900. What should I ask for it and where should I advertise it (other than here of course, which I will do)?
