I remember you talking about those when you
were over at my house. Still have not tried

My mom and her family are from the Houghton area, actually Nisula. My Grandmother was from the U.P. also. I used to get pasties every week or so.They are great with ketchup on them. The Finns like to have a glass of buttermilk with them too. [Smile]

The good thing, eat one of these and you will not be hungry for the rest of the day! [Smile]

Yeah, you should stop in. The beef are the best, but the Chicken and Green pepper are great too.

Chicken Pasty: Chicken, Celery, Cheese, Broccoli, Onion and Potato

Green Pepper: Beef, Green Pepper, Celery, Onion and Potato

There is also a Veggie pasty for those that don't like meat. For anyone who lives out of the state, he can ship them anywhere in the U.S.

I am going one day next week to make a purchase. Wifey will be po's for me to post this, she is an excellent cook and her family is from Newberry, but she can't make a pastie to save her life. Oh well I just have to buy them.
