Do you have any pics of your son's 79 after it was completed? I remember seeing alot of pictures of the buildup, but I don't think I ever saw the finished project. I'd like to see how it turned out!!

The car was not totally complete when it was at Camaro Superfest and the Berger Show last year.It actually got damaged while being trailered inside a enclosed trailer on the way to the NEOCC Fall Classic. The drivers door, rocker panel and 1/4 panel all took a nice hit. Too bad. Those are the original panels on the car. Here are a few pictures I have in the condition it is currently in.I hope to repaint the car after I move to the new house.

The car did not run that well. It took off like a rocket with a tire smoking 1.89 60' and burned the tires all the way past the 300' mark. In the 1/8 mile, ET was 7.80 @ 93 mph, then it would fall on its face. See the brand new stock AC Delco mechanicle fuel pump won't keep up the volume of fuel needed for that LS6 454. The engine would run after the 1/8 mile like it was running out of fuel. With that 1/8 mile ET and MPH, the car was on its way to a low 12 second or high 11 second pass. After a few runs he blew up and coasted to a 13 second 1/4 pass at 105 mph . The distributor rotor broke or came off and totally destroyed the MSD distributor cap to small chunks. We will install a larger aftermarket fuel pump this year. My son wants to put it on the dyno at Camaro Superfest this July. Posted by 96blackSS (Member # 2105) on :

Now that it was trailered to my new house yesterday, we can start to tear it apart to redo it again. Hopefully it will be ready to show this season.
