Well, my 2nd run of the night felt really great! I had a 1.7 60" time (my best yet), she launched real hard no bogging at all. Went through the gears great (I think..LOL). Well when I hit 4th she seemed alittle "STRANGE", that is the only word I can think of. I stayed in it and before the end of the 1/4 all I felt was a HUGE BANG and then stuff was flying inside my car. My seat latch broke and my seat went back into the rollcage (thank goddness). Well the seat went back to the point where I couldn't reach the pedals no longer! I had to wrap my arms around the steering wheel just to reach the pedals to brake. I got the car stopped and pulled it off to the side as soon as I could. To then have smoke coming inside the pit! I couldn't get out quick enough, thank goddness for a quick release on the harness!
Well come to find out I broke my Denny 3" Steel Drive Shaft in HALF! My car is prett messed up right now. Not sure about the damage yet, but it doesn't look good. :bs: Mikey thinks that the Drive Shaft was out of balance from the manufacture. So I guess we'll starting again..
Well here is my timeslip. Remember that I broke the Driveshaft BEFORE the finish line. The video looks good and I'll post it whenever I get it. The wheels even came off the ground!

R/T... .176
60' ... 1.767
330... 4.869
1/8... 7.412
MPH... 97.91
1000... 9.602
1/4... 11.446
MPH... 122.46

So hopefully Mikey can work his MAGIC and we can have it ready for N. VS S. in June.
If it wasn't for no luck I don't think I would have any..LOL [Frown]

Great run, too bad about the driveshaft though!
I'm guessing you have a driveshaft safety loop.
It's a good thing you were able to get to the pedals! [Eek!] Close call!

to close of a call for my likings..LOL I just want one damn run where nothing breaks to see what she has in her! But everytime we race it (only twice) somethings breaks. First was the stock T-56 and now a brand new Steel DS!!! What else can go wrong.. Murphy's theory is my new life! Anything that can go wrong WILL!!

Susan, as long as you aren't hurt thats the important thing. Time to get that Carbon Fiber driveshaft.

Here's the manufacturer page for them ACPT .

I really like the safety aspect of them. I believe they retail around $800. I was able to snag one off eBay for just over $400.
