For those who put 4.10s in the back, how many of you installed the paddle kit too? It says it is necessary, and I dont mind buying it, but just how necessary is it? If you didnt use it, what did you do to make it work.

Although I do not have first hand experience, as my 4.10s are installed in the SLP Hi-Torque Auburn (which does not require the paddle kit). Apparently the paddle kit is recommended for the Zexel Torsen diff., but I do know a couple of people who have installed the 4.10s in that diff without the paddle kit. It looks like it's the ring gear and center block that needs to ground down a bit if the paddle kit is not used.

Good luck and enjoy!
