If you are planning on going to Bowling Green and you are not accustomed to backing your car into parking spaces, may I suggest that you start practicing now.

Having driven a Jeep Cherokee for several years, I was not used to backing into parking spaces......I had always just dived helter-skelter head-on into them, as I'm sure the rest of the Great Unwashed has always done.

However, to my chagrin, I found that in BG, people back their fbodies EVERYWHERE.....not only into parking spaces, but also into gas stations, ATMs, convenience stores, car washes, and drive-thru fast food establishments..... [Eek!]

Just letting you know..... [Wink]

On of the first rules of driving:

BACK FIRST!

I go by that rule everyday driving the BBT.

I always back in no matter what I'm driving. I
find it easier, and it makes for a quick
get away! [Wink]

Have you learned to pop the clutch and peel in reverse yet Millie? An absolute necessity in an FBod! [Big Grin] [Eek!] [Wink]

In other words, give that thing a little reverse action.

Anyone familiar with Adam Sandlers last CD should know a thing or two about reverse action.

Backing into any parking spot in any vehicle is definitely a practice I've picked up since acquiring my F-bod. As Hawkeye states, not only is it easier, but I find it safer, since I can see the oncoming traffic a lot better (especially coming from both sides without swivelling my head around!) when backing out of a spot.

Best regardSS,

Elie

Try putting a 2500 HD 4X4 into a parking spot [Roll Eyes] . You find out that backing in or 3 spaces is about the only option .

... Just turn the wheel and go! [Razz] Always back in spaces too. Like to be able to just take off and you can see the traffic better facing out from your space. [Wink]

It cracks me up to watch people try to parallel park. It's a lost art. Hardly anyone needs to do it anymore.

Tell me about it! I drive one everyday and it just plain won't fit in some parking lots around here. A while back they started making parking spaces smaller to fit more into a lot, then BOOM! everyone is driving an SUV or a truck. Now, the spaces are all too small for what so many people are driving.

I dont think the Dulies can have it but the Quadra steer is a godsend on the trucks. Wife had one home for me to try and it was about a 3 foot turning difference with it on.
