I'm in the toy box installing a Momo steering wheel in the Zed. Since both air bags are out I thought I may as well see if I can disconnect the black box without the car running funny.
I do that, start the car, and get the monotone toot-toot. Hmm, guess I can't do that so I shut the car of and plug the black box back in, and start the car again. Another "toot-toot". I figure maybe it needs to cycle a couple of times so I head out for a road test and gas. No problem at the filling station ...great!
Back to the toybox to redo the wheel, I did something wrong aligning it. Put it together, start the car ... toot-toot again. Hmm ..this is getting strange but off for another road test. The wheel is still not right so I pull it all apart again and reassemble. Start the car. Now the horn is going steady ...toot-toot-toot-toot-..... The car is running. What's going on?!? Shut the car off ...it doesn't stop. Start it again ...still honking.
What can i do? Unplug the horn? Disconnecting the battery should be faster. I grab a wrench and the keys and head to the back of the car ....and then I see it .... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The lights are flashing on the SS. DUH!!

You must have connected the wrong wire comming out of the steering column to the horn contact when you changed over the steering wheel.

Grab another coffee Greg!!
Starting the Zed (PPC headers, ORP's, 3 1/2" Mufflex, Spintech muffler) was triggering the SS alarm.
