Just got my conforrmation letter..................#16 .


Anybody else going. I'm planning to register Thursday night. If anyboby wants to have a Pre get together I can find a place in the area to meet as I'm only 20 minutes away. That way we can get some locals also not able to attend the show .

If you need a place to clean/wash or whatever before the driveway is open .I'm off work Thursday and planning to do any final touch up .

Ed I sure wish there was away to join you there this year, but the International Show in Hampton Va is less than 2 weeks after Superfest and as a state rep for WCC they won't me at that show. I would have to take off a week for Superfest come home and work 5 days and then take another week off from work for the International. Company will not go for that and neither will my $$$$. I have been at Superfest every year since 1998 and sure haten to miss it this year. Its the best

Got a couple of questions for those of you that live in that area. I'm going up a couple of days early to visit my brother that lives in Southgate. How far is Southgate from the show? Is it to far for me to stay with him and his family and drive out to the show, autox, etc. If it is I'll go ahead and get a motel room, but I'm trying to save a little money here. Next question, I know very little about Southgate or the area, is my car going to be safe parked in front of my brother's house in Southgate? My brother says yes, but he's not a car nut.

Looking forward to meeting all the people from the forum that live up that way.

I will be there...Cant be scared, its only about a 900 mile trip one way, but its in the 35th and makes it all the better.

Also hoping for another visit to Hawkeye's, had a great time last year at the BBQ.

I'm booked in but I have no confirmation letter yet. Perhaps its in the mail. I'll be there Thursday night as I want a good nights rest for the auto slalom Friday. If there is anything local going on 35thed, I'd be interested for sure!

Southgate.... I've never heard of that... maybe you mean SouthFIELD? If so its OK.... but as a co-worker once said Southfield is a step above the getto... she always joked its where the drug dealers lived when they had some money. When I moved to Michigan I stayed at a Extended stay Mariott in Southfield until I found a place near Aurburn Hills. I didn't know any better I just looked at a map and saw it was close to downtown Detroit which was where I was working... The area is ok, not great.... I don't think I would stay there, I wouldn't take my camaro there! Another area to look would be Plymouth and there are a bunch of Hotel in Ann Arbor. I know there are a few Hampton Inns, I stay at one from time to time and its fine. Depending on which side on Ann Arbor you stay there are a bunch of Hotels, I think they have a Holiday Inn Express, 2 Hampton's and some others just can't remember them off the top of my head....

Southgate is about 30 minutes away from where Superfest will be held. Plus or minus a few. Should be no problem with the car parked by your brothers.

Hawkeye,

The autocross will run from 9AM to possibly 3PM depending on the number of cars. Milan Dragway is in the evening. They are open from 4Pm to 11PM. I think a carravan was leaving from the Hotel between 5PM - 6 PM to go to Milan.

See you Friday morning for the Ontario show.

Hawkeye, last year we met at your place late friday afternoon,early eve and I think that would be a good time again...after my long trip out your way, nothing better then hanging out with a group of friends. The fri morning autocross event shows limited access and isnt suposed to go late, there is the dragracing at milan fri night, but I am passing on the drags.

Thanks for the offer. I'm comming in with at least 2 others and hopefully be at the host hotel for 4:30pm. They should have a hose set up but if not I'll see what the buds would like to do and maybe give ya a call. . How is the construction heading out there? Any areas to avoid? We usually come accross the bridge. Less than a week away and I can't wait! Let the countdown begin!

Try to avoid I-94 all together. Tons of construction. I-94 and Southfield is real bad.There`s ruts in the road and pot holes everywhere. Further down at Telegraph there is more construction. Take I-96,it`s a lot better. Have fun at CSF!

I take I-94 Westbound home every day from work and it is not really that bad near Telegraph. Eastbound is another story with the traffic.

Is 94 under construction near the Roseville Mt.Clemens area? We may come accross at Pt. Huron and take 696 to 275 to 96. Any trouble out that way?? Thanks for the help!

From what I have seen on the AAA web you should have no construcrion the way you are going.Try to get in earlier if you can though I-696 can back up getting close to rush hour (5 to 7).

Ahh yes the old hangout in the host hotel lot! The best part of the show. as I remember from 99 and 2000. Safe trip there everyone!

One more day! Lets get this one done and over with. I have not even cleaned my SS since the Ontario Camaro Nationals and it did get plenty dirty on that 2 hour cruise. I wished I had time to clean it tonight. See you at Camaro Superfest!

The hotel is the Holiday Inn Campus at Plymouth Rd and U.S. 23.

Matt, if you are out there I need to know ASAP if you still want the room I reserved for you. Since Daryl and Michelle are not comming to CSF I will let their room go. I really need to know by 9:00am today or I will have to cancel these 2 rooms so my credit card does not get charged for them. Please let me know.

Well, I just cancelled 2 rooms at the host hotel, Holiday Inn North Campus. If anyone needs a room these were all on the lower level facing the east parking lot.

Was only there today(Saturday) but got about 45 pics. Sorry I tried to avoid getting people in them. Except for the pic of 2002Z4CSS I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get a picture of Greg under his car cleaning the wheel wheels before judging. That's a detail freak if you ask me! Of course I didn't have my car judged and don't really care to. I bought it to drive, not win show and shine trophies! I guess I should resize some pics and post them.
