Just got back, was hoping some of you might be there but no joy.

I got to the traffic circle at 6:30 and it was backed up. Must be the $1 entry fee [Roll Eyes] thats backing it up....We turned around and went to the Wycoff show. Hey, the Batmobile was there [Eek!] . I sent an email to the organizers to find out what the deal is......I'm not going to drive up there to turn around anymore [Frown] . I'll post the response.

They had (posted on their website) 700-800 cars and 300+ bikes [Cool] , but I think it time to nix the bikes (nice element [Roll Eyes] ) and keep it to domestic vehicles only.

They made an announcement that those coming from the south should exit the parkway at Perkins drive and come in the back way and thus relieve the traffic jam. It wasn't the $1, just so many cars forming the single file to drive in.

"Tom;
Please be advised that the $1.00 parking charge is collected by the Bear Mountain State park, this is not a club fee, and our club is not charging any fee to enter our show.

Also we had over 700 cars & 300 motorcycles last night at our show, with this amount of vehicles there is bound to be some traffic problems.

Please visit us again, but I would remind you, that on good weather nights, there will be in excess of 700 vehicles attending our Cruise Night.

Well it was fun while it lasted! I knew when "the fast & the furious" crowd showed up it was the begining of the end. I had shot an email back then about the ricers (BOOM, BOOM music...revving their engines, etc). They have 50's music and a quiet atmosphere. NOW...well lets say they want to 'educate' the younger crowd [Roll Eyes]

Like anything in the NY Metro area......crowded and ruined [Frown]

how is the weekly wyckoff show?

i practically live on Wyckoff ave these days I'm up and down it so much.

It a nice small show(50+ cars). There is a brick oven pizza place and it has lights in the parking lot (a problem that is hopefully getting fixed at Bear Mtn....not everyone can get there at 4pm...some people have jobs...LOL).
