It's a solid list indeed, but a few years old (note no LS1 cars on the list)

Yeah, I think it's quite interesting that a bone stock LS1 Firebird or Camaro in good tune with the right track conditions would have made the top 10. Posted by XthHawk (Member # 2070) on :

...also very interesting that a '64 Polara 500 (which was like a 4400 pound barge) with a 426 Wedge (not a hemi) engine turned 13 second quarters...

That list has been around for a long time actually. I think 1997 is the newest car on there. Think about it, 2003 Cobra, LS1 cars, Z06, the 500 HP second gen Viper all not on the list?

...no, Mr. Ihavenoideawtfimtalkingabout, I merely made the observation that the 426 engine in the '64 Polara tested was a wedge and not a Hemi...they made no reference to it...
...now don't you feel like a real poopoohead... :poke: :bash: :twistear:

John Evans - I believe - in GM High Tech - did 12:9's in a stock 99 SS.

Didn't Evan Smith run 12.8 in a stock SS as well?
