Went & had a great time with Mr. Fbodfather and a bunch of guys from the Dallas-Ft. Worth area & I'll post pix & stuff later....but....right now I'm just creeped out.....

....so Scott was driving my car back from the Hyatt to the Marriott where he was staying and we kinda missed an exit and so we came upon this intersection and there were like a few cars around and this white truck on the side of the road with the front sorta smashed in.....

.....and like in the VERY MIDDLE of the intersection was this woman just lying there really really still & all & her legs were all blue and there was nobody around her.....they were all over by their cars....no ambulance or anything....and so we had to go up the road a bit to turn around to make the exit and by then there was a fire truck coming.....and she was just still lying there all kinda (this sounds weird) flat.....and still nobody around her except this one man who was about 10 feet away from her....

So you guys who have been in the medical/paramedic/armed forces & all probly think this is silly, but I've only seen somebody like "fixed" in a casket.....I've never seen anyone just like DEAD in the middle of the road......

*deepbreath* ok....just had to tell you all that cuz I'm still shivvering........

We DID have a fun time & I'll tell u all about it tomorrow ....provided I can sleep........

As a youngster I once saw the results of an
auto accident near my home. The lady was not
wearing a seatbelt and the car door had actually
severed her head. It gave me nightmares for
a few nights after that.

dang, Millie, sorry you had to see that. [Frown]

I would imagine that's quite a sobering experience.

It was right before you get to Loop 12 & Harry Hines split (we missed the 114 exit...had to go back around)

I'll look on the news sites & see if I find anything out about it....

Scott getting lost or missing an exit?

Nah, not Scott. [Big Grin]

I heard he is insisting a GPS nav system be available in all GM vehicles from here on out.

Welllll....we had maps of how to get back to his hotel using the DFW North Entrance....guess what....it was closed. So we had to use the South Entrance/Exit and there's a lot of construction....

Scott said the signs (lack of..), construction, etc., was worse than Detroit!!! [Eek!]

Yeah, I guess if it wasn't for the line of cars ya'll may not have made it to the hotel, either, huh... [Wink]

LOL!!! Actually, I didn't mind missing the exit cuz it was SUCH FUN getting to ride in an SS instead of driving for a change, especially with someone that can drive as well as Scott (we won't mention the B4C incident....)

I feel terribly sorry for this woman and her family, and I hope I didn't sound caustic or anything in the original post....it was quite upsetting.

Weird, tho...one thing that flashed thru my mind was whether (if she'd been thrown out) a seatbelt could have saved her life.... [Frown]
