Well, I just thought I would bring you up to date on my SS's condition. My father and I drove to Bristol for the Super Chevy Show and put our cars in the Temec car show. Out of four SS's, I was last . I have know idea why The only thing I came up with was I was the newest F-body. Anyways, the weekend went from that to even worst. My tranny is getting stuck in fourth gear now. Also, to make things even more disastorous (sp?), I trailered the car back to my garage (my garage/shop is on a dirt road) and when unloading it, (in the rain/mud) a board slides and hits the front right 1/4 panel and breaks it. NOW YOU MUST UNDERSTAND, my father and I DROVE our cars up there with wet roads and back in down pours. The car is still a mess. For those who went to the Gathering in Atlanta, you know how clean it was. Not no more. So I have the 1/4 panel 90% fixed. Still needs wet sanding and basically some work from the bodyshop to make it PERFECT. But I still have a messed up tranny. The dealer really couldn't do anything. My warranty ended up back in May and the milage is a little over 12,000. Though the mods did not concern him . So now I am going to trailer it to Road Atlanta at the end of this month. My father bought me track time Saturday to have fun together with his vette. I love the man. So I hope the tranny makes it through it. Then my other problem is there is no way I can take this thing out, send it off, and get it back in time for BG. So I will be trailering it again and, what the hexx, I plan on running it down the 1/4. I will have the trailer just in case. I may need some of you guys/gals to help me push it back on the trailer .
So anyways, I plan on tearing it all down this winter. Will send the tranny off, install a spec III clutch and new flywheel, along with a TR230 cam, electric water pump, and alot of bling!! I just hope it makes it till after BG. My feelings were really hurt at Super Chevy.

Brian I am sorry to hear of all this and yes at G-8 in Atlanta the car was perfect and looked super. At this last show I would say that being in a mod class they were looking more at bling things added and I am more into mods that you feel in the seat of your pants. Hope to see you again soon (Mike)

Mine showed bad signs of wear when they went to do a shift kit and torque converter. Black fluid with metal shavings in it. Felt it slip whenever I shifted out of reverse back into drive. Also didn't want to go in reverse two weeks ago. Had to try it 3 times to get it to engage. Shop is rebuilding it. Set me back 3 more days for repairs. That's one of the main reasons I'm modding. To make everything better than new. One of the dangers of buying used, don't know how badly previous owner beat on it or maintained it.
