This week we've been away at a horse show. My daughters bothride horses and compete in the arena. This week is the Region III Championship show. (Reg. III is Northern California and is on of the more competive regions in the US. Kentucky, Arizona are the other two biggies.)

Well, my 9 year old daughter (just turned 9, 3 weeks ago) has been studying hard for 3 years and this week it paid off. In the pre Regional show she won her class handily and today in the Regional Championship show she won the Championship title for her catagory. This is for all kids 10 and under as of of January...which means there are kids that are well over 11 competing against her.

She's been riding horses since she was 5 and has tried to compete in the Regional shows that last two years. Until today, she came up empty handed in the tougher competition. Today it all came together though and she looked like a champion rider through the entire class.
