I am considering ordering a white Firehawk convertible with a white top. Is the F-body white top cloth or vinyl? I have seen the taupe and black cloth tops in person, but I have yet to see a white top in person. Does anyone have pictures of a white Firehawk with a white top? Thanks.

Y2K HAWK, I think you are correct. The white interior is no longer available. I was going to get the ebony interior with the white roof.

Don't take offense but I don't think that would look very good. Might give the appearance that the top had been replaced.

I do belive the white top and intior is no longer ava. I belive its only for the ann. editions. Berger Chevy here had to pay to have there special edtions get white leather in there SS's at a speacilty shop. My white top is like a course viynal, that's the best way i caan explain it.

I tried to order my navy blue metallic 2000 Firehawk with a white top, but it got delayed while GM had some "production problems" with the white material. Eventually I was told that the white tops were being put on indefinite hold, possibly to be discontinued(not sure if they are still available or not). I decided to go with the black top. Later, a friend of my dad's that worked for Pontiac told me that there had been a problem with the white material shrinking...the white tops were vinyl, while my black top is cloth. I've never seen the taupe/beige top up close,but I believe it is cloth....

The Black and Neutral tops are cloth while the White top is a 'PVC'( vinyl-like ). All three tops are made by Haartz. Actually the material for the black and neutral tops is called " Stayfast ". The material for the white top is called " Double Texture ".

White is still available for the convertible top. It is vinyl. They were put on hold for a while back a couple of years due to high closing effort..the vinyl has different "tension" properties upon closing the roof after the top has been down and temperatures are lower...thus, adjustments had to be made to the hardware. Personally, I love 'em.

my car is Red with a white top and white interior. I wouldn't change anything about it. And yes i can varify that somtimes i have to leave the top open because it is 100%impossible to close it.

My '95 is Quasar Blue with a white top. It looks really good, but it's developed the driver's side rub hole that some others on the board have mentioned. I'm in Boulder, Colorado, at 5000 ft. and the UV is killing the top. The trim and stitching is broken and loose on the driver's side and at the bottom right and left of the rear window. I've repaired it (sorta...) with flexible plastic tape, but will have to replace the top next spring. $$$ I can't decide whether to go back with white or not... I was thinking it would look great with a custom royal blue cloth top. I can always go back to stock later...

I'd go with custom blue- make your care that much more unique...
White seems like it would be a royal PITA to keep up....

Yea... I'm leaning that way. It'll all depend on who I find to do the top and how much more the custom color costs. The blue top and some blue/gray racing seats would be nice...

Wow, Bluestreak... That burnt orange bird looks fantastic! I haven't seen that color before. The shot from behind with tail lights is awesome.

white top is awesome, i didn't think i would like it but when i saw my car i bought it on spot, later i found out that in 2000 they made very little with a white top, and with my color you will be lucky to find one, in fact i might have the only one. if you can go white!
