I think that most people prefer the automatic at the strip. I think that the launches might be a little easier. Also, the automatic probably shifts faster than I do and not as often.
Anyone with an automatic have an opinion? I'm just speculating since I have the 6-speed.

Lot's of threads all over the place on this but if you're serious about the strip, and want to do well in bracket racing, you will be more consistent with an automatic.
Launching the manual is challenging to say the least, and missed shifts are not uncommon.
For me, and I dabble in drag racing and autoX, I would never give up the stick.

A4 owner and in total aggreeance with the PoSSum. Hell, I cut 1.6s easily with my A4 and slicks...
