it was my first time not good time. 15..? whats up w/ that?..i did 3 runs all were the same.. within a tenth of a second, reaction time, all the same. i was embaressed at the track..i did not run again.i tried asr off,,didnt matter..top speed of 88 mph.what is up w/ that.?.this a 2000 SS w/ the hurst 6 speed..what the _-_-..i redlined it to 5.8 on the tach up to 6 when i realy was frustrated..i had no problem w/ shifting from second to third at hi rpms, it shifted well....all of my time sheets are the same .... this car should do alot better than this stock..i pushed it hard..my leg was skakin, as a first timer..my reaction time was 6.77 and 6.81

Post all the interval details ... 60' time etc. Something is not right ... you should be pulling through the traps at just over 100 mph.

Any other similar cars running? What kind of times did they pull. Weather Conditions? You are running premium fuel.

BTW reaction time has no effect on E.T. ...

Must be all the extra weight of the convertible

Sorry, couldn't resist. Since it's your first time at the track, it could be almost anything. Are you sure you knew where the finish line was? Sorry it sounds like a stupid question, but it's happened plenty of times, folks letting off before the line. Otherwise, I'd guess something's wrong with the car.

By the way, you certainly don't want to run with ASR switched on. And yes, post all the intermediate times, it could help figure it out.

Dave has a good point there. It does almost sound like you might have been letting off before the finish line. If you post your 60' and 1/8 times, we should be able to tell more. With a stock SS convertible and 6-speed, you should be able to run at least a low 14.

poSSum, my buddy had his 82 stripped down camaro w/ slicks and a 350 built up nice w/ nitrous and open headers ext.. his best time was 11.6..another guy had a 95 z/28, nitrous wasnt working,he still got low 14's, the car does have exhaust mods, and a programing box of some sort, and is an atoumatic ..the mustangs were running some hi 13,s some cars its hard to tell what kind of mods they have..weather was hot 87. degrees at byron dragway in illinois there was a 63, corvette w/ a 660 big block that turned a 6.9 so track conditions must have been good..i run only 93 octane amoco ultimate in my car..383Dave- its definetly not the weight. i kept the car punched until i saw the time clocks behind me,there was a yellow line to show where to let off..time posts are up..you guys are very cool..Red Dog-..i know i should be alot lower on my times. i think i have the answer,i hope that my time posting will prove my mistake..L-SS-1> i thank you for giving me more info.as i am all stock besides the k&n filter. i had a half a tank of gas..myself i weigh in at 180 so in my first run at the track... i think i made a big error...as nervous as i was, and loud dragsters next to me i think i shifted from 2nd to 5th......i just got back from testing on the backroads again..the car felt very sluugish at the finish line..it felt the same tonite..if you guys can confirm by my time sheet of a shifting mistake, under pressure as my first time at the track ..it makes sense to me i did alot of thinking today.2nd to 5th under pressure missing third..?..thank you so muck jk..
