thanks for your reply on my times i just need more practice at the track .i know for sure now that i hit 5th instead of third..right after work today i marked off a 1/4 mile..i did the same shift 2 times..the 3rd run i have to jam it hard into third...i dont like beating on this car...it didnt like it at all...is there any way to make the shift from second third without having to force it under hi rpm's..?..i got alot of flak from my buddys..when i turned those 15's..i know its not the car its me..how many rpms to improve my 60' time.. i lost traction alot even tonite on the backroads on the starts...thanks ..jk..

I was away for an extended weekend and generally just look at "Todays Active Topics" instead of the whole list.
I've got Lou's short stick on the factory Hurst and do not have any problems finding 3rd ....... let's not talk about 4th
The launch is my Achilles Heel as well. Every track and road will present different amounts of traction, and will require different launch rpm's. (On our concrete front drive the tires will break loose in first from a rolling idle start).
