Just picked up my first Chevy two months ago, time for some suspension mods, specifically looking at BMR SFC's, STB, LCA's and PHR. Was interested in a gear change but I figure I can get all the suspension parts for a lot less than the gears and install and having to get the HPP-3 to get the speedo calibrated unles someone knows a way to do it without the programmer.

Welcome to the board! I have had the KBDD SFCs on mine since early April. Really tightened up the car. Posted by poSSum (Member # 119) on :
WeLcOmE!!
SLP has a speedo translator ... not sure of the price but it is an alternative to HPP3.
If you plan any serious mod's you're probably better off saving the gear money to put towards a 12 bolt rear, and just get the gears you want at that time.
The suspension goodies should help a bunch. I have the SFC's and STB ... panhard bar, control arms and the torque arm are in my plans for next year.

The gears are gonna wait the stock clutch is already starting to go away with less than 11k on the car, leaving the neighborhood just out of curiosity tried third gear from a less than 5 mph roll didn't stumble a bit which didn't seem to good but the car will pulll in sixth without slipping so hopefullu it will hold up for a while longer.
