Also, how do you guys handle the rear defroster on a vert top when tinting. On either side there are the thick connector bars to deal with. Is the back window plastic or glass?

It sounds like you are thinking of doing this yourself. I would think that you could find someone who sells tint somewhere in your local area but otherwise you can try to get it online, like here. The tint could go over the connector bars but probably should be cut right up against them. The rear window is glass.

I had my front windows tinted but chose not to do the rear window. I don't know what kind of tint it was but it is a titanium gray color that matches well with my car.
