I'd love to have one of theses bars, but only in chrome. I had one of those on my 78 T/A! Why no chrome bar???????????

You could always order it and then have it chromed, just a suggestion. I think chrome bars look pretty cool.

The Wolfe cages only come in two choices : bare metal, or black powdercoat (they outsource the powdercoating).

If you want to see the convertible 4-point bolt in Wolfe cage, see the pics on my website in the sig.

Good luck,

Call Lucky's Race Cars!!!

Why do u need a cage in a STOCK car??

If you want to come down to Baltimore I know 2 guys who can build you what you want. You design it, they'll bend the tubing to match and weld it up.

I powdered coated mine white to match the car.

Blown: I feel safer on the street having the cage; my fear is being T-boned by some drunk and rolling down an embankment. I was less worried at the track where I never been out-of-control.

Rather than Chrome, why not get the metal bar and have it powercoated in the polished silver? Probably look pretty nice.

NHRA rules require it in convertibles that run 13.99 or faster. It's also good for -2 prep points in AutoX.

hang on a second. I thought we were talking about a roll CAGE.

NHRA rules, and most tracks, only require a roll BAR (4 pt) for verts at 13.999 or better.

NO.

NHRA rules require a 5pt. rollbar for 'verts running 13.99 or better. It is the same requirement as 11.99 or better hardtops. There is no provision for only a 4pt bar.

Blown..

I've totaled my IROCZ due to rollover, wasn't drag racing, wasn't going real fast (25mph). Just real unlucky. Hit a patch of black ice, and went over a 4 foot ditch going backwards, right ontop of my T-tops. Wish I had a roll bar/cage then. Going to get roll cage as soon as I can afford one.

DOH!

Your right its a 5pt.

Although the 5th point can be a swing-out bar which reduces it to a 4 (for daily driving).

Yup!

I made mine removable (i.e. bolt-in) w/o the swing out bracket to get caught on. I only run the 5th point when racing.
