I am getting my new Z28 conv. soon and am probably going to throw a set of Eibach Prokits on there. I know the convertibles are a little heavier than the coupes, so I am not sure if the car will sit any differently than my coupe. Anyone have pics? Do you find that the car keeps a little bit of a rake or does the back drop a lot?

Before Eibach, the day we took delivery. There's quite a gap between the tires and the wheel wells:
The Eibach kit lowered it just enough. Now it has a better stance:

Hi HTWLSS, How much did the Eibach proline springs drop your SS. I have 255x50x16 tires which I think are slightly taller than the 275x50x17 you probably have. Your car's stance looks awesome. How is the ride? Any ground or tire clearance problems? Did you have to change the lower control mounts? Thank in advance!! I want my Z28 to look like yours .

It was so long ago I don't remember how much it dropped the car.
Steve might remember......if he does, I'll have him post a response back to you. He's not online much, but if I can get him on here we'll see what he remembers what changes he made while installing the kit.

When we installed the eibach springs, they lowered the car approx 1 1/4" front and rear. The car sits very level with a great stance/look. I have heard of people complaining of a lower rear-end, but not on ours. Overall height should be the same, as the overall height of your tires should be the same as ours (if yours are the same as factory size). We did not have to install the spacers for the jounce bumpers, as they are already installed at the factory on an SS, but since yours is a Z-28, you will probably want them. The ride is wonderful, and actually feels much more stable at high speed (over 90) than with the stock springs. We have had no clearance problems, even when the SS trailer is hooked up. Obiously, ground clearance is lowered slightly, so you just have to used to taking driveways at an angle to prevent scraping the frt spoiler or the exhaust y-pipe. We did not change any control arm mounts(?), but did replace the rear lower trailing arms and panhard bar w/SLP parts with urethane bushings to stiffen up the rear a little bit. Hope this helps! Guest what my hibernation mod will be this winter. . P.S. Were the mods done on the rear just for performance? I just drive my car on the street and rarely bother with "Rice". Thanks again

The pro kit lowered mine 1 1/4 as well. I also put on a set of HD bilsteins. It's a good time to change shocks and some say the stock shocks have a shorted life when placed on a lowered car.
I put 315's on the rear and that nicely fills up the wheel wells, needed to get an APHR to center the rear though.
You may also want to look into a set of LCA hangers - =Since lowering your vechile changes the rear geometry and increased the occurance of wheel hop, lowering brackets on you LCA's will restore the geometry.
