What are the "brake decals" everyone lists and what is !cags?

Brake decals are stickers you cam put onto your brake calipers.

!cags is the mod to disengage the CAG system (1st to 4th shift). It is the first mod I did to my M6. Second was to get an aftermarkt shifter

Note this does not apply to automatics

Where can I find a !cags. Is it simple to put on?

Stickers say a number of things - however you get them made up go here and look at the 8th picture down.

As far as !cags - I did it on my '94 in about 5 minutes, don't know how to do it on yours - try asking on ls1.com

To "!CAGS" you car, pull the connector towards the front of your trans on the driver side and insert a 15-20 ohm resistor in the plug, wrap it w/ electrical tape and ty-wrap it up out of the way.

COST: ~$1
Time: ~15mins

Or you could buy a "CAGS eliminator" from a speed shop for $30 and do the same exact thing.

The resistor fools the PCM into thinking the CAGS solenoid is still connected (prevents SES lights). But now that pesky 1-4 shift solenoid no longer gets in the way.

Pictures of this mod are found in the "MODS" section on LS1.com.

The !CAGS mod is the same for all T56 trans (although the PCM on my '94Z didn't care if there was a resistor in there or not).

Actually in my '94 I just snipped a wire going to the PCM and done, no SES no CAGS, the local GM shop quoted me $125 for the job. Gotta love dealers.
