I am doing my rear shocks next weekend and I was just wondering if anyone has done it and if so what does it take to get at the top nut on the shock mount. It looks like the carpet is held down by some panels and stuff. Anyone have any advice?
Incidentally I just installed Ground-Control adj. ride height coilovers w/ 400lb/in springs and Koni SAs in front and Eibach prokit progressive springs in the rear. Wow, it feels like a different car. Handling is much improved and the ride is actually smoother. Plus it got rid of some "giggly" feeling I was getting in the steering wheel. I don't notice as much cowl shake either. Much better results than expected! I still have some fine tuning to do but I couldn't be happier so far.

The upper bolts are right behind the rear seat back rest. Fold down the back rest. Slide the plastic cover away from the seat belt reel and along the seat belt. Slip the carpet over the seat belt real and pull it down toward the floorboard. You'll see some white foam rubber stuck in the unibody. Pull that out and there are the bolts.
