Would it be possible to change the color of the top from white to black???

If I understand the white convertible top is made from a vynyl type of material. If the surface was cleaned and prepped properly you may be able to dye it.I think you may have concerns of scratching or peeling from the operation of the top going up and down if the material contacted inetrior trim or the body. You may want to call a local automotive trim shop and ask them if they ever dyed a top with good success. [Smile]

Maybe I will give them a call...

I'm just unsure of how good my white top will go when the car is finished being painted Electron blue...

I was thinking a black top would look better

Blue with a white top is a very good color combination.

(Not that I'm biased or anything.)

White top with Electron Blue with white stripes would look very nice! [Smile]

Your NBM SS with the white top and interior is the only one I have seen that color combo. Have you ever figured out how many were built that way?I have to say the white tops look great. All old muscle convertible muscle cars that had a white top get catch your eye! [Cool] [Smile]

The best calculation we've done, according to the '99 production figures, is less than a handful were made in that color combination.

Last week, someone emailed me telling me that they just bought an A4, '99 NBM Convertible w/white top & interior, with 12K miles on it. The only difference between that one & ours is we have an M6. They found our website and saw our car and contacted me.
I suggested they come visit us on the forum and join the SSOA. It'll be neat to see our car's "twin" on the board.

Yeah I thought I'd wait until the car is painted to see how it looks. I was thinking of maybe putting on white CE side feathers and hood stripes.
