I got one for Christmas I am getting ready to put on. Curious to know what you guys do with your Windstop when you go to a show? You leave it on or take it off?

I don't really show .... but I leave it on ... it's a nice custom touch that has folks doing a double-take when they see it.

I leave mine on at all times. At shows or cruise nights, everyone wants to know if the car came with it, or where I got it. It does spark curiosity. The only time I remove it is if I need to put someone in the back seat. I also leave the back seat folded down, it helps to keep the seat surface cleaner.

You may want to consider drilling some holes in the sliders and putting two small locks on to prevent theft at shows ( or anywhere else ). I'm not implying that people who attend shows are thievs but you just never know. There maybe someone there with 'sticky fingers'. Man, without locks, these things could 'walk' very, very easily! 30 seconds and it's gone! At $200 bucks a pop, you may want to secure it to your car.
I put locks on my Windstop mainly for safety though! During my first drive on the highway with the Windstop, I noticed that one of the sliders had shimmied loose . This is an accident waiting to happen. There should be a better fastening system than what the manufacturer has designed. It could be disasterous if a Windstop came loose on the highway. Any idea if this thing will fit in the trunk? Say for example you have it in the car, and then pick up some friends. Would be nice if it fit in the trunk in that instance, instead of having to plan around leaving it at home...

Slider in the 'latched' position. The hole on the left is the one that I drilled for the lock. Prevents the slider from being moved to remove Windstop from vehicle. Make sure that you drill and lock both sliders!

Thanks for the pics DROPTAWP. I figured that's where you meant so I went for it. Great suggestion! I feel that it's much more secure than with just the latches alone. And man, this Windstop thing really works! Every vert owner should have one!

Works best with the windows up! Even with the windows down, there is a very noticable buffeting improvement. It's funny though, when I first put the Windstop on the SS, I noticed an improvement but over time I got use to it. Went on a highway trip one day and I had to put my Step-Son in the back so the Windstop was stored in the trunk. OMG, talk about a wind storm! You don't realize how good you have it until you are without!
