I have been looking at pictures of the TA spoiler trying to see how well it could mat up on our verts, I haven't been able to look in person at one, which will really help, Damn snow and cold weather have slowed me down. I was thinking if I were to take the ta spolier part, cut it right where the window meets the the glass, I could then take my exsisting trunk lid(supporting lower section only, since both trunks seem to have different outer shapes), fuse it to that ta section, and form a outer shell to make the rest of the lid. The other way would be to remove the outer shell on my firebird and then cut the backend of it down so the Ta one will fit with it, then make a new shell. What do you guys think? The problems I might encounter is matching the sides where the spoiler comes to a point next to the side windows, and the Ta trunlid looks like it sits lower as it gets to the window, which means the newly formed trunklid would go uphill at the back window. so anyone have any thoughts to add or help me out, I plan on this project in the summer, hopefully I can find a cheap TA spoiler one with a busted window selling for cheap. From what I"ve heard GM stayed away from the high rise spoiler cause in an accident it could come off and injure/decapitate passengers--good thing I don't plan on using the backseat much.

If you want a spare convertible trunk lid to practice on, I have a damaged one that I'd let you have for cheap. I was thinking of doing the same thing, I have a t/a spoiler available to me, but I just don't have the ambition to work with fiberglass.

yeah I may want to buy them from you, I was just out looking at a TA and don't think it will be to hard. I am willing to spend some time and effort with trying to put them together. I really need to park my car next to a TA and see exactly how they both are setup, right now the damn weather has froze my car in place. I'll contact you if I go for it. I wish there was a photo of one already done, just so I could see how it looks, but I guess Ill have to be the first to take one.

James, Go over to CamaroZ28.com in the appearance section and ask for someone to "Photo Shop" one for you. Some of those guys do great work.
