All I have to say is AWESOME RIDE!!!! The car is soo solid. I cant believe it. I even drove it on the lane dimples and there were NO rattles or squeaks.
The car doesnt "wobble" or "shimmy" when I let the clutch out. It doesnt twist or squeak or rattle when I pull into the alley or drive way.

The only booger is getting the block nuts to thread and sit still. I figured that out on the first rail and the second was easier.

On the second one I did run into a snag, where the passenger side inside rear flange was a little too tall and it hit the floor causing the hole for the LCA not to line up by just enough to make it a 2 person snag. This could be my floors fault not the part.
My neighbor just happened down the alley on his Harley at the right time and I nicely waved him in with my Miller lite bottle, hehehe Never fails!!! All I needed was one more arm/hand. I muscled it up and he shoved it in (No Comments Please). All a breeze from there!!

I am always leery buying stuff over the net but these arrived when promised, packed incredibly well IMO, powder coat was perfect including the color match, and the fit/install went extremely well. Don Goetz has done his homework on these and I HIGHLY recommend them.
Can I buy stock when you go public?? hehe

This is definately something that should have been done at the factory.
Try the link below to see what it looks like!!!

Sounds great. You've convinced me.

Don, mark me down for a set for my LE vert. Red of course. PM or email with payment instructions.

I just spent some time driving it and the ride seems to be smoother as well.
You cant go wrong, I know I didnt

Scott your satifaction with the SFC's is very good to hear.
Do you feel like you accomplished something today?
Thanks to you I think there's only one red set left out of this run.
Now go clean the underside of your car(LOL).

I try to listen instead of talk most of the time and I surely listened to the convertible owners.
I seriously doubt anyone would hire me to design these things, so I did it myself and I can assure you there are more things coming.

I am very satisfied. I hope I didnt go overboard. I posted where ever you had to let folks know about them.
I dont understand why the link wont let you enlarge the photos to see them better. They kinda stink small like that. Any ideas?

They enlarged fine for me... Nice work. Too bad I've already got the weld-in BMRs...

2 black and 1 red remain out of this run.

Just put mine on the LE today. Thanks for the help Ralph! [Big Grin] They were pretty easy to install and they're designed and fabricated first rate. Good job Don. BTW, it's raining here in the NE. So we didn't take it for a spin. Maybe Monday or Tuesday, we'll see.

I have 2 Black sets left before I make more do I have any takers?

Posted by kahouna23 (Member # 1876) on :

Curious...will they fit a V-6? If so, I'd like a set of the black. What are you asking for them, plus shipping to CA.

Thanks

Posted by DGOETZ (Member # 1846) on :

I have several sets in Bright Rally Red boxed and ready to ship and will get the Black ones back next week.

Black and red back fresh from powder coat.
Any interest out there from my convertible buddies?

If anybody is looking for sub-frame connectors, I highly recommend these. I love mine. The fit and finish are awesome. They greatly improved the ride and handling of the car.

Dons SFC's are great. Constantly asked about them. I just put on a set of Goodyear F1 GS-D3's and the handling is superb in wet and dry.
When the tires were installed was it OK to have the entire weight of the vehicle on the D.GOETZ SFC's
only?

Thank ya Doctor!

Well did any one mention how easy they are to install and that they come in Bright Rally Red and Black?

If your going to Bowling Green you can pick a set up there and save the shipping cost.
If your real nice I'll even install them for you.
Then you can get in the picture we'll be taking on the 20th at Noon.

Don, all I can say is a big thank you for the parking lot installation in BG. I left BG with a bit more weight on the SS but I also left with a car that doesn't shake, rattle and twist anymore!

I hope you had as much fun selling your product as we had watching you sell them. You really have something there and remember, we want stock when you go public. When you get your web page up and running let us know and we will send everyone there. Thanks for a great time in BG and plan on coming to Texas sometime so we can get you out to Ennis.

I feel compelled to add my voice to the chorus of folks that are pleased with Don's SFC's. Had them installed while at Bowling Green and they made a significant improvement in ride quality. So much so that my wife even commented on the difference! I couldn't be more pleased with these and am amazed that Don took the time to install them personally. If you haven't yet added this mod to your list of things to get you should definitely do so. Thanks Don!

He's correct the coupe was the first version I offered
Now would you like me to come install yours as well?

Going Pubilc I think I'll have to get a divorce before that can happen.
My wife thought I washed my car all weekend.
She really has no understanding why it was so important for me to go to Bowling Green.

I feel like I made true friends while transforming their cars.

When the passenger notices a difference there truely is an improvement.

This may come as a shock to everyone but I have never ridden in a 4th Gen Vert before or after installing my SFC's.
So you won't mind if I take your word for it.

I am pleased that all of you have placed your confidence in me and the products I make.
Thanks

Let's do it again next weekend! [Wink] I'm envious of those going to SLP day. If it doesn't rain tomorrow, we are going to a car show but I can't say I'm really looking forward to it. Well I'm already up for the next event sadly I feel that I may actually have a real job.
I been offered a position at a Local Chevy Dealer.
That should get me closer to my first Y-Body

I have to take a car related job until DGF hits it big.
Oh by the way fabrication of another run will begin tomorrow.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but will a SLP Bilstein-Eibach equipped Firehawk suffer on parking lot speed bumps with these installed? My car is at least 1" lower than any other F-body I've ever seen. SLP always insisted that the 'verts with Bilsteins were not "lowered" but I know that to be a 'white lie', because I've measured the differences, front and rear. I need someone to verify the car will not be 'banging the curbs' as it is daily driven.
Thanks

There are several cars with these on them with the Bilstein suspension.
If my SFC's hit or rub any speed bump you will have damaged something else beyond it's useful purpose.
There is actually more clearance on the Verts.
I have a picture I can email you to show you they are a good 2" above the lowest part of the car.
They will definitely make the car stiffer which may help negotiate speed bumps easier.

Black Robe, ...I have an '02 SS vert WITH Bilstein suspension (and they DO sit lower). I installed Don's subframe connectors, and they have been fine, ...no clearance issues at all. As per Don's post (below) there are other undercarriage parts (ie. Y-pipe) that hang much lower than the SFC's.

The convertibles are easy to install especially if you leave them on the ground

For those of you who are still wondering about these SFC's, I have possibly the ultimate compliment. Today we were going up to see our son so I decided to be a nice guy and let my wife drive. This was the first time she had driven it since I installed the SFC's. As you leave our village there is about a mile of really twisty road on the way to the autobahn. As she was going down the hill she said, "Wow, this car really drives better now." After we got on the autobahn and she had driven a ways, she asked why I didn't get them sooner. That should give you a good idea how much difference they make. I might also add that just adding the SFC's dropped my quarter-mile times by about 3 tenths. They are great.

Posted by DGOETZ (Member # 1846) on :

Jerry,
Didn't you have to convince your wife to get them in the first place?

Oh and by the way how was the passenger seat on that drive to see your son?

I have received several compliments from the passengers of the D.Goetz Equipped Cars.

Is there anyone out there that wants a white set?

I just ordered a set for my 99SS. Don, you'll have an email from me and probably by Friday you'll have the money order from my bank. The way the weather is going, I'll probably have to wait till spring to try them, but I'll put them on as soon as I get them just in case the weather gets nice enough before any serious snow. That's when the car hibernates.

Well as you know the Hoildays are once again upon us. It means that many of us have already placed our precious vehicles within suitable shelters.
To others it is the long awaited time of year to modify our vehicles for the coming spring.
For those considering D.Goetz Subframe Connectors as their modification now would be the perfect time to secure your set at current pricing and directly from the manufacturer.
I have been contacted by several individuals that would like to distribute my products. While ultimately this is very positive it will remove some of the pricing control I currently have.
Here's what I have in stock:
(1)White Vert,(4)Red Vert,(4)Black Vert,(1)Black Coupe

Those interested may contact me via email.
Thank you all,
Don
