Michelin has formally announced they will be making and selling .......tah dah: windshield wiper blades.......to be sold out of Target, Blains Farm and Fleet, and Strauss Discount Auto ..for now. wonder what they will use for advertising those, a baby duck! (like the baby in the tire......LOL)

Buy your tires at Cosco? Cosco is outfitting 390 stores with Nitrogen fill systems. Cosco will offer the nitrogen fill up for free to members who buy new tires, or to members that want to let the air out and put the nitrogen in. pretty good........!

Nitrogen is back as the 'thing to do' in the early 2000's... in fact..the forcast is 35 to 40 %of all drivers will be running it by the end of 2005.

Nitrogen, as i have posted before, reduces rust and corrosion on the rim and valve stem hardware, maintains pressure better as it does not "seep" nearly as a fast as air... and it remains the same temp..so you dont have that variance of pressure between hot and cold tires. of course, this all adds up to 'slightly better fuel economy'..

anywho....fyi

Someone needs to design a wiper blade refill that will last more than 6-9 months. Hope these will. I have tried every brand and get the same results.

I usually buy the genuine GM replacement blades.

After using Rain X and the "real" GM blades they
last for years! My '99 Suburban still has the
original blades, no streaks and working great!

Can you mix nitrogen with air if the tire is
low? or do you let out all the nitro before
adding air?

Greg,

Sounds like you need to try some Zaino on the windshield...My truck wipers are 2 years old, still work like out of the box.

Ken,
Very interesting article.
Thanks!

Wow! Nitro in tires? I haven't heard anything about that. Do you have a link to an article or more info regarding it?
