Well I took my car out to the track last night and beat my best time. My first trip was last month and my best time was 14.38 @ 97.0. I just put on the SLP lid and wanted to see what effect it might have. Last night I ran a 14.17 @ 98.4. Now if I can just shave 0.18 seconds off I'll be in the 13 second club.

Just keep on racing, you can make up almost a half second of time with improved skills.
First time with the 10th was 13.1 then 12.9's I hear a stock LS1 can go a 12.6 in perfect conditions.

One problem is traction. My first move is to just stomp on the gas and I'm getting a lot of wheel spin. Is there a better way, like maybe just 3/4 throttle until you get out of the hole?

That is the big issue with alot of fbodies. Do you add drag radials or M/T streets, but then you add a ton of pressure to the rear (we all know how they hold up)
I lower the tire pressure (24lbs) tach up to 1200 rpm and let it rip. Of course I have done a half track burnout (15 seconds@105mph)
