For sale, regretfully, my 2000 Camaro SS that was just brought out to Chicago from Boston, Mass., in April. Complete records, maintained from new and upgraded by Mike Turner at Liberty Chevrolet, Wakefield, Mass. VIN 2G1FP22GXY2113193.
The basics: Light Pewter Metallic with ebony leather, M6, T-Tops, in-dash CD player (not changer), all power options. SLP SS Grille, floor mats, plaque, key fobs, SLP car cover, etc. Always Zaino'ed, inside and out. Fitted with the better-looking OEM 5-spoke painted wheels from a '98 model, also comes with the original 10 spoke wheels. Has 63K miles on the clock, but has a virtually brand-new LS1, installed courtesy of GM in January 2003, with only 16,000 miles on it now (a warranty replacement and a long but interesting story involving a very helpful dealership!). The new engine warranty is full GMPP, 50K miles or three years, whichever is to the owner's advantage. Chassis dyno in Sept. 2003 results: 328.1 rwhp (before Hypertech tuning). Photos available at my Cardomain.com page, http://www.cardomain.com/id/ssport
I'm selling it because it costs me a fortune to garage and insure it in downtown Chicago, and all I do is drive to work 2 miles, then home 2 miles. Without the winding country roads of New England (within 10 miles of downtown Boston), I have no place to go with the Camaro.
Mods & upgrades:
INDUCTION AND EXHAUST: Direct-Flo air filter housing lid, SLP cold air pickup, Holley Powershot filter, Thunder Racing (MBA) Ported & Polished MAF ends, Shaner S2 Throttle Body, Throttle Body Coolant Bypass, JBA Cat4ward headers, new Cat converters (both sides, SLP Y-Pipe, SLP “Loud Mouth” exhaust system with twin SuperTrapp 4-inch Elite tunable mufflers (stainless, satin finish) at tips.
ENGINE, DRIVETRAIN & TRANSMISSION: Comp Cams Chrome-moly pushrods, SLP 1.85–1 high-lift rocker arms, MSD plug wire set, Richmond 3.73 rear end, TA aluminum differential cover & stud Kit, B&M™ “Ripper” Shifter, RK Sport CAGS defeat switch, SLP ASR Reversal Module.
SUSPENSION: SLP Level One Eibach/Bilstein Lowered Suspension, ADDCO solid sway bars: 32mm front, 22mm rear, Performance Suspension Technology poly-graphite sway-bar bushings, Tom Byrne tubular lower control arms, BMR Relocation Bracket Kit for LCAs, Tom Byrne tubular Panhard Rod, Random Technology adjustable tubular torque arm. Front camber set to negative 1.5 degrees.
BRAKES: Powerslot rotors, Hawk Performance Pads, Earl’s Lines braided steel flex lines.
CHASSIS: SLP Strut Tower Brace, SLP bolt-on Sub-Frame Connectors.
INTERIOR & MISCELLANEOUS: Burl wood interior trim, Custom-painted and finished Fuel Rail Covers, Synthetic engine, transmission & rear axle lubricants, SLP 160 F thermostat and housing, Hypertech Power Programming, Reflective Concepts™ rear fascia lettering, Mallory Billet Aluminum pedal set, White-faced instrument panel, SLP OEM optional SS floor mats, SLP SS front grille, SLP SS fitted car cover, SLP SS Key Fobs & dash plaque, Polished aluminum “diamond pattern” doorsills, three HURST shift knobs plus stock one and a HardBar C5R shifter handle.

Cost of the upgrade parts above is over $7,480, not counting installation costs (mostly by dealer). This Camaro is in beautiful shape and is a well balanced, quick road car. Price is $19,500 (Blue book plus only a couple of grand for all the mods), or nearest offer. Can deliver within a reasonable distance. Call Paul Zink @ 312-927-8780, or reply here, or e-mail me at: Paul_Zink@hotmail.com. Or at pzink@blueant-chicago.com, my office e-mail address.
